The cottage is grassy bottom and is about 4ft deep off the end of the dock. There is the Magnetawan public beach which is a short walk from the cottage (about 200 meters)
 which has a beautiful sand beach with a nice playground, swings, public barbecues, boat launch, and washrooms/change rooms. The town of Magnetawan is just past the beach with LCBO, Hardware store, Grocery store, Bar/Restaurants, snack bars, etc.
